Encouraged by the good results I got from working large last time, I painted Ricardo on a large scale today...with less success. The only parts of this painting that I'm happy with are the hair and the right hand. The shirt and background need a lot of work.
I agree about the hair and the right hand. Your drawing skills are outstanding and they always make a strong foundation for your painting. In this one I feel the volume of the figure is fighting the background. I would like to see a little more sense of the space and then as you said more work on the shirt.
