Randall in Striped Pants

There were parts of this painting I was unhappy with and if there had been more time would have kept working on. But when I got it home I felt the painting was finished and it was about the space at the Firehouse and the relationships of the figures in the space. Karen

  1. I like the tones in the room (cool to warm) and the perspective of the model to his observers. Who was that partially hidden by her easel? This really captures the intensity of her observation!

  2. What an good comment Janice. The women hidden behind the easel is Diana who is a very intense painter.

  3. Karen, I really like the figures of the painters at the far left and far right. The front and side planes of their faces are modeled in a very abstract and Picasso-like manner!
