Lucy is a new model with the guild. Everyone was impressed at how still she stayed. For those doing portrait work it was very helpful. I liked the symmetrical feel of the pose and the sense of stillness also. This painting is 18 by 24. Karen
I like the soft color scheme here, with lots of different greys. The use of a background figure to silhouette the model's face is clever. I think it's very interesting that you got a pretty good likeness of the model without seeming to try! Likenesses aren't really your goal, but I can definitely see this is Lucy.
