Lorraine was fun to paint--especially her
hair and scarf! To fill up the background,
I painted our familiar pink rug, which was actually
underneath Lorraine's chair. This painting
isn't done yet--in fact, I haven't touched it
since the session ended yesterday. More work
is needed on the face, the hands, the background--
just about everywhere!
You have an incredible ability to catch a person's expression and I would dare say their inner thoughts. I kept coaxing her out of that mood because I wanted to show other aspects of her personality (I had already painted her with this expression the previous week). But Diana, you nailed it.
ReplyDeleteEveryone does such fine work on this board with the models. Anyone attending Bay Area Model's Guild Marathon at Merritt College Feb 7th?
