Simone

Simone is a beautiful young model who has very good modeling technique, making her great fun to draw.  This was my first chance to draw her.   I started out with charcoal, moved on to pastels, and left the pastel portrait sort of unfinished so I could try ink.

Cynthia

This was a  frustrating session for me, and none of the drawings came out very well.  The only one I like (sort of) is the top one, in charcoal, with the model facing left.  I can't draw when models make steady eye contact with me, as this model always does, but even after I fled to a profile view, the results were disappointing.

Emily

Emily is a new model and art student. She admitted this was just her 3rd modeling job but her art training has helped and she gave us a lot to work with in just a simple sitting pose.

This was my first opportunity to draw Emily, who is new to the Guild.  She took off her glasses for the pose.  The first drawing is in charcoal on paper.  The second is in pastel on paper treated with pastel ground.  I made her chair lavender in the pastel drawing, but am not sure about the lavender now.

David

This drawing is in charcoal on paper.  I also did a couple in pastel, but they didn't turn out very well.
